TwoBuck Tuesdays Short Plays

All plays are at Mulberry Grove Rec Center

YOU MUST SHOW YOUR VILLAGES or GUEST ID

This series of plays is part of our teaching workshops.  The participants are learning by doing.  This may be the first time for some or all of the actors to be on stage.  This is a learning experience for the directors and back stage crews as well.  We would like to thank you ahead of time for supporting their efforts in this learning process.

The plays will start at 11:30 am. The running time of the plays is about 30 to 50 minutes.  There will be minimal sets and props.  Seating for these productions are on a first come first served basis. When you arrive, get in line where your ID will be checked and you will be given a numbered card when you pay $2. At 11:15 am the doors will open  and you will hand in your cards and find a seat.

Christmas Eve at Momma's

Written and directed by Bob Petrucelli and Carol Azzarone-Onuschak

It's Christmas Eve at Momma's house, circa 1959. It's the traditional Feast of the Seven Fishes, but Momma

wasn't expecting Joey to bring another one of his conquests to dinner. Tiffany was another one of Joey's

conquests. Joey was married twice to Italian women and divorced from both of them. His latest conquest was

Tiffany, a real bimbo. Not only was Tiffany not Italian, she had never been to an Italian "Vigil". Momma was

from the ole' country. She  brought all of the traditions she learned as a child with her.  Momma never quite

adapted to life in America and having Nonna with her guaranteed that the Italian culture would be passed

down and continued.  This original comedy, written through the eyes of those who lived through it, will bring

back memories of days gone by as Momma's children are forever branded with the undying love of family,

while never forgetting that "Momma knows best."
